Our office staff

Our practice is committed to help our patients with any type of orthopaedic condition.  We participate in virtually all health insurance plans, including Medicare, Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault.

New patients are given prompt appointments, usually within one week.  Staff members are available to address patients’ medical, administrative and financial needs.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Dr. Ziets thoroughly evaluates each patient to obtain an accurate diagnosis.  When necessary, x-rays will be taken and additional testing, such as an MRI, may be ordered.

All test results are reviewed, and each patient is provided with a comprehensive treatment program, personalized to the condition and individual needs.

Non-surgical treatment is often recommended, and patients are assisted in obtaining the appropriate care, such as physical therapy.  Minor office procedures may be suggested, such as injections or splinting.

Surgery and Aftercare

When surgery is necessary, Dr. Ziets uses less invasive techniques.  Many procedures are done arthroscopically or through minimal incisions, utilizing specialized techniques and instruments.  This significantly reduces pain after surgery and patient recovery time.  In most cases, patients may go home right after surgery.

All surgery is done at Beth Israel Medical Center and at its Phillips Ambulatory Care Center.  This facility was recently named one of the “Best Hospitals” for orthopaedic surgery by New York magazine.

After surgery, Dr. Ziets personally supervises all follow-up office care.  He has created a comprehensive therapeutic protocol to help our patients attain the most rapid and optimal recovery possible.
